Welcome to the Heart of Galveston!

There’s more to Galveston than East and West

Midtown

 Central, convenient & connected

Midtown sits at the center of everyday Galveston life. Its central location makes it easy to reach Downtown and The Strand in one direction and the West End in the other, while the Seawall and Gulf are only a short distance away.

The area offers a diverse mix of homes, from traditional island cottages and bungalows to larger residences, duplexes, and renovated properties. Midtown is especially appealing for those who want to be close to the beach and everything happening around the Island without being directly in the middle of a tourist district or farther out west.

Restaurants, grocery stores, schools, shopping, and everyday services are all nearby, making Midtown one of the Island’s most practical areas for full-time living.

Kempner Park

Historic homes in the heart of Galveston

Kempner Park offers a beautiful transition between Galveston’s grand historic districts and its more traditional central neighborhoods. The area is known for its historic homes, mature trees, broad streets, and architectural variety, with properties representing several periods of Galveston’s development.

Its significance also comes from its connection to Galveston’s history. The neighborhood developed around an area associated with some of the Island’s prominent families and contains numerous historic properties that reflect Galveston’s growth during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Today, Kempner Park offers residents a quieter neighborhood setting while remaining remarkably close to both sides of island life. Downtown, The Strand, the Seawall, beaches, restaurants, and shopping are all just minutes away.

Seawall & Surrounding Areas

 Closer to the Gulf

Move south toward the Seawall and daily life becomes increasingly connected to the beach. Residential streets just off the Gulf offer quick access to the Seawall for morning walks, biking, beach days, restaurants, and entertainment without necessarily living directly on the beachfront.

Housing throughout these areas is especially varied. Historic cottages can sit only blocks from mid-century homes, raised coastal properties, duplexes, apartments, and newer construction, a mix that reflects how Galveston has continued to rebuild and evolve over generations.
